In the past many businesses reduced or completely stopped offering learning and development for their staff due to budgets and other priorities. This training will support organisations in equipping their L&D team with the skills needed to deploy training and upskilling opportunities for their entire workforce, raising the organisation’s competitive advantage.

This Learning and Development Practitioner Level 3 apprenticeship is designed for those that are involved in the identification of learning and training needs and will implement training that meets the organisational needs. The role of an L&D Practitioner is to support people management and professional development. This apprenticeship lays a foundation for L&D professionals to understand their work, organisation, and profession more deeply. supporting change and driving impact.

For employers

For organisations, it is important to have a learning and development plan in place which supports employees in their professional growth. This Level 3 Apprenticeship will equip your Learning and Development team with the foundational skills and confidence to drive change through employee development. They will be equipped to support employees and understand the business and commercial drivers behind learning.

For learners

Learners will develop their understanding of the foundation level theories that underpin effective learning and group behaviour whilst exploring the impact different learning delivery channels have when contributing to effective learning. This understanding will allow Practitioners to boldly identify and analyse learning needs, design, construct, and structure training resources to meet a variety of employee needs.

While undertaking this L&D apprenticeship, you have the choice to apply for CIPD membership and make use of the post nominal letters “Assoc CIPD” after your name.

Through membership, CIPD will support and encourage you throughout your studies. You will gain access to our lowest membership rate (fees are 40% reduced for Student Members) as well as extensive study resources and the opportunity to build your network through our local branches, online communities, and student conferences. When you complete your qualification, you will be awarded CIPD Associate Membership.

Please note to continue to use the associate membership you must maintain your CIPD membership, this cost will be covered by yourself or your organisation. Your CIPD membership and qualification work together to ensure your knowledge is recognised both inside and outside the people profession. This proves your credibility as a professional, raises your profile and opens doors to new job opportunities.
