What does that really mean? Well, apprenticeships, skills bootcamps, and other routes are all different forms of ‘funded learning’; that means that rather than paying for them in a traditional way from your L&D or HR budget, these routes are funded by UK Government. That might be via the apprenticeship levy – which you’ll pay every month if you’re a larger business (whether you use it or not) – or via funding ‘pots’ that are allocated to help develop skills and get people into work.
