Starting out within the HR industry can be difficult without having the opportunity to gain knowledge, experiencing first-hand the several types of support, employees will need and having the confidence to support a business in creating and managing organisation and culture.

The HR Support Level 3 apprenticeship allows motivated individuals to be introduced into the HR industry. As you work you will gain a real insight into how the HR function supports an organisation and its culture and understand how your role supports employees as well as the businesses goals.

For individuals, completing this apprenticeship demonstrates a commitment to professional growth and development. It showcases to employers that you have taken the initiative to improve your skills and knowledge in the field, making you a valuable asset to any HR team.

For employers

This HR Support apprenticeship will give employees at the beginning of their career the ability to develop a foundation of the key skills and knowledge needed for the various responsibilities, the modern day HR function has.

This will create a well-built HR function with experienced and knowledgeable staff, with a grasp on today’s HR legislation, processes and behaviours and understanding of how business aims fit into their everyday role.

For learners

On completion of this Level 3 apprenticeship, you will develop a set of foundational skills and knowledge needed to be a part of a modern HR function. You will gain the skills and behaviours needed to support employees from recruitment to retirement.

As well as developing an awareness of the overall company objectives, you will be able to relay this to employees, form a culture, manage behaviours, and how to best support managers.

While undertaking this HR apprenticeship, you have the choice to apply for CIPD membership and make use of the post nominal letters “Assoc CIPD” after your name.

Through membership, CIPD will support and encourage you throughout your studies. You will gain access to our lowest membership rate (fees are 40% reduced for Student Members) as well as extensive study resources and the opportunity to build your network through our local branches, online communities, and student conferences. When you complete your qualification, you will be awarded CIPD Associate Membership.

Please note to continue to use the associate membership you must maintain your CIPD membership, this cost will be covered by yourself or your organisation. Your CIPD membership and qualification work together to ensure your knowledge is recognised both inside and outside the people profession. This proves your credibility as a professional, raises your profile and opens doors to new job opportunities.
