DIGITAL, DATA AND IT APPRENTICESHIP

IT Solutions Technician Level 3

Beginning a career with the technology industry requires knowledge of the latest systems and the best method for implementing and managing these within businesses. It also requires an in depth understanding of the organisation, its needs, current capabilities, and their plans, whilst also ensuring the safety and security of the organization’s information and processes.

The skills gained during our IT Solutions Technician Level 3 apprenticeship will give learners the relevant skills and an understanding of how business use different applications and operating systems for day-to-day activity. Learners will gain the confidence to support the implementation, maintenance of an internal IT solutions and be able to confidently support fellow employees in using them.

On completion

  • You will be able to specialise in the field of Network Engineering or diversifying your skillset in Project or People Management

Programme outcomes

For employers

Employers will be able to implement the systems and information structure their employees need to carry out necessary business activities. They will be able to rely on an internal IT Solutions Technician to support the business in the reliable implementation and management of IT systems and applications as they develop a stronger understanding of the business’ needs and aims for the future

For learners

On completion of this apprenticeship, learners will possess the skills and confidence to work as an IT Solutions Technician in any industry. You will learn the key principles of IT Solution management as a foundation and have the option to specialise in either Hardware or Software. Both pathways within the programme include a core set of modules taking learners through an in-depth set of topics to increase their expertise, develop their logical thinking and adapt a problem-solving mindset.

Specialisation options

Learners will have the choice to specialise in either Software of Hardware from month 8 of the programme. This part of your apprenticeship will last two months, during which you will gain in-depth and specified knowledge and gain the confidence to use this to support your organisation.
