Introduction to the course

 Network Engineers are integral to the ongoing success of your or your customers’ internal networks, ensuring they are continuously maintained, secure and adaptable. The Apprenticeship will immerse Learners in three core themes supporting them to become the next generation of experts. 

Learner outcomes 

 A Network Engineer Apprentice will understand a range of concepts and approaches to implementing and maintaining Networks, from understanding the fundamentals through to Security and their integration with multicloud platforms. 


 Learners will sit an End Point Assessment (EPA) that consists of a Simulated Assessment with associated questions and a Professional Discussion underpinned by a Portfolio. 

A good fit for 

 New or existing employees looking to enter in to a Network Engineer role as a progression route or as their first step in a technology career.

  •  Network Specialist 

  • Systems Engineer 

  • IT Manager – Infrastructure Services 

What’s next? 

 Learners have a multitude of progression routes available to them following the completion of the Apprenticeship. This could be further specialising in the field of Network Engineering or diversifying their skillset in Project or People Management, for example.
