Customer service is one of those attributes that can be applied to any job. Whether you work in the field, on a building site, in a shop or in an office, you’ll always have an opportunity to put your customer service skills to use.
As a customer service apprentice it will be your job to make sure that your customers have the best possible experience. That may involve taking phone calls or helping customers face-to-face. As customer service is such a broad, highly sought skill, your apprenticeship could take you to all sorts of industries, including retail, financial service, hospitality or sport and leisure.
On top of gaining valuable experience in customer service, and a nationally recognised qualification (both of which are desirable to employers) you’ll also work towards qualifications in maths and English. These core skills will help you to be more successful in your job. Some GCSE grades can be transferred, so you may be exempt from this additional learning area.
