BT Levy Transfer

Finding funding to support your trust

BT Group, in partnership with Babington, offers a Levy Transfer Service that helps schools and MATs unlock funded training opportunities. This means trusts can access high-quality apprenticeship training for staff without bearing the financial burden, opening up opportunities to invest in growth, retention, and development.

To be eligible, organisations must be SMEs, charities, or public sector bodies based in England, committed to supporting apprentices aged 22 and over. Employers must also ensure that all staff, including apprentices, are paid at least the National Living Wage, promoting fair and sustainable employment opportunities.

Learners benefit from a dedicated Development Coach and mentor, specialist resources, and peer networking opportunities to support them throughout their journey.

No. Apprenticeship training costs are fully funded through the Apprenticeship Levy. In addition, schools may be eligible for a £1,000 grant for hiring apprentices aged 16–18.

Employers don’t pay National Insurance contributions for apprentices under 25 (including current staff placed on an apprenticeship).
