BT Group Apprenticeship Levy Transfer

For organisations whose wage bill exceeds £3m a year, the apprenticeship levy applies at a rate of 0.5%. These funds are then available to draw back down to ‘spend’ on skills development programmes – like apprenticeships. But what happens when an organisation simply cannot use its entire levy pot? That’s where levy transfer comes in.

Yes! If you’re a large organisation interested in transferring your levy to smaller business to support upskilling, Babington can help.

Whilst there are a number of organisations that can facilitate levy transfer, often you will not retain line of sight to what happens with these funds and what the ultimate impact is.

Small Businesses

Where large businesses are not going to use their entire levy pot for their own upskilling, they may choose to transfer up to 50% of the total funding value to smaller businesses.
