Babington become a CIPD Approved Study Centre for HR and L&D Qualifications

Babington are proud to announce that we are now an official CIPD Approved Study Centre.

Who is CIPD?

CIPD are the professional body for experts in people at work, setting professional standards for HR and people development, as well as driving positive change in the world of work for the past 100 years.

What is a CIPD Approved Study Centre?

The accreditation of becoming a CIPD Approved Study Centre means that Babington is now able to deliver CIPD (The Chartered Institute of Personnel Development) qualifications across the country, which are included within our Level 3 HR Support, Level 5 HR Consultant/Partner and Level 3 Learning and Development Practitioner apprenticeships.

The CIPD’s qualifications are the recognised professional standard for HR and training specialists working across the UK’s public, private and charity sectors.

How did Babington become a CIPD Approved Centre?

Training Centres, such as Babington, become CIPD approved by meeting the quality standards that CIPD set, taking them through a rigorous approval process. To gain the accreditation, Babington needed to be able to:

  • Demonstrate experience delivering high-quality professional qualifications.
  • Put together a plan of action to attract a minimum of 50 students in year one with the ambition to grow.
  • Provide detailed market research in your field of enquiry.
  • Deliver CIPD qualifications in geographic regions requiring further provision.
  • Offer an excellent, innovative, and potentially unique learning experience.

Becoming a CIPD Approved Study Centre means that we can ensure the best possible student experience and the continued growth and improvement of the people profession, giving us access to a range of well-respected suites of internationally recognised qualifications in HR and L&D.

What are the benefits of CIPD qualifications?

CIPD Level 3 Foundation Certificate and Membership

Individuals that accomplish either our Level 3 HR or L&D programme can now also gain a CIPD Level 3 Foundation Certificate in People Practice*, providing completers with the CIPD Foundation Membership. This level of CIPD membership and qualification provides learners with a lifelong career partner, establishing the cornerstone from which they’ll build credibility within the people profession. Upon successful completion of EPA with CIPD, learners can also apply for Associate level membership with CIPD.

CIPD Level 5 Associate Diploma and Membership

Those that complete our Level 5 HR programme will now also receive a CIPD Level 5 Associate Diploma in People Management and gain the CIPD Associate Membership. This demonstrates the individual has the skills to deliver on today’s business needs, making them sought-after for their experience, trusted for up-to-date knowledge, and respected for professional commitment to good practice. Delivering an operational impact with increasing complexity, these Associate Members use their knowledge to address and react to business needs, and actively influence the day-to-day people approach in organisations.
