Partnering to power potential at Royal Mail
With a legacy spanning over 500 years, Royal Mail remains one of the UK’s most recognised organisations and continues to adapt and evolve in the face of modern workforce demands. Since 2020, Babington has worked in close partnership with Royal Mail to help shape the next generation of talent through a range of apprenticeship programmes designed to support upskilling, internal mobility, and long-term workforce resilience.
From HR and coaching to team leadership, project management, and operations, Royal Mail’s apprenticeship offer supports colleagues across functions, helping build job-ready skills and accelerating career progression. Key initiatives like the Future Manager Development Programme are now creating new leadership pathways for frontline talent, enabling learners like Rhys and Alasdair to step into high-impact roles with confidence.
This tailored and collaborative approach to learning is not only delivering strong learner outcomes, but also supporting retention, improving customer experience, and reinforcing Royal Mail’s commitment to social mobility and inclusion. The results speak for themselves:
- 750 learners enrolled across 10 programmes
- 99% pass rate
- 94% learner satisfaction
- 57% distinction rate
Royal Mail and Babington are proud to share the impact of this partnership to date and are excited for what is ahead.
