National Apprenticeships Week 2014, March 3-7
Now in it’s seventh year, National Apprenticeships Week 2014 is upon us!
Taking place during March 3-7, there will be a whole week dedicated to celebrating the success, and about raising the profile of Apprenticeships amongst employers, individuals, teachers, parents and the media.
The week is designed to celebrate Apprenticeships and the positive impact which they have on individuals, businesses and the economy.
Why Celebrate National Apprenticeship Week?
- To increase awareness, understanding and demand for Apprenticeships.
- To celebrate the talent, skills, achievements and successes that Apprenticeships create.
- To promote all Apprenticeship levels, and the progression routes which they provide (including Traineeships).
Apprenticeships are becoming increasingly popular, and offer great prospects and development opportunities to young people across the country, in a wide variety of sectors.
The event is all about demonstrating how Apprenticeships are great for businesses, personal careers, and creating opportunities for both employers and apprentices.
Babington Open Day in Derby
To coincide with National Apprenticeships Week, Babington will be celebrating by holding at open day in Derby at their new training centre, on Friday March 7th.
Held between 2-5pm, students will have the opportunity to find out more information about the Apprenticeship opportunities which Babington have to offer, and be able to talk to former/current apprentices and apprentice employers, about what their roles involve, and what can be expected from an Apprenticeship.
The new centre will be officially opened by Rt Hon Margaret Beckett MP, Labour Party Politician for Derby South, since 1983.
We will also be having a special guest appear throughout the event – Rammie, the Derby County Ram! So make sure you attend, in order to meet our star!
The open day in Derby will be held at the new Training Centre, located at Peat House, 5 Stuart Street, Derby, DE1 2EQ. (More location details can be found below).
