Babington Welcomes Chief Operating Officer Emma Yorke

We’re excited to introduce Babington’s new Chief Operating Officer (COO), Emma Yorke.

As COO, Emma will develop key delivery areas of the business to perform effectively, delivering high quality outcomes for learners and employers. She’ll contribute to the growth of the business to ensure sustainability and strength in the marketplace, positioning Babington as the partner of choice for key funding agencies and policy influencers.

As part of this, Emma will develop Babington’s people to be the best they can, making sure everyone is enthusiastic about bringing to life our mission, vision and values.

Emma Yorke

Emma brings with her a wealth of experience in training and education, having worked at a senior level across the sector for 24 years. As well as holding senior positions within Shaw Trust and Newcastle College Group, Emma has been responsible for the development of HCUK Training, the Skills Business Division of the Hull College Group. Here, she grew overall income from £6 million to £16 million in three years, as well as taking an initial OFSTED rating of 4 in 2014 to Good in 2016.

Among Emma’s eclectic skills are income diversification and performance management, and she has managed high performing teams and supply chains across DWP, ESIF and EFA funded contracts. A member of the Institute of Directors and CIPD qualified, Emma’s knowledge and experience will complement the senior leadership team, supporting the business as it moves into the next exciting phase of its growth.
