The number of apprenticeships has risen over the past few years, and the government is determined to keep the number of apprenticeship opportunities on the rise, as they offer great benefits to both the employer and employee.
March 3-7th is National Apprenticeship Week; dedicated to celebrating the apprenticeship scheme, and the positive impact which it has upon individuals, businesses and the wider economy.
Apprenticeships are available across a wide variety of sectors, and offer an even wider range of roles for candidates to choose from, to start their career. Apprenticeships provide many proven benefits for the individual, the employer and the business, and towards helping the economy.
Prime Minister, Nick Clegg, says:
A fully-trained apprentice can help businesses to generate an extra £200 every week. Employers tell us that they find apprentices more employable than job applicants with other qualifications.
The Prime Minister has seen the hard-work provided by apprentices over the past few years, and is determined to double the figures of the current apprenticeship availabilities; from the current figure of over 100,000 employers offering apprentices, across 200,000 locations.
