Babington Graduation Day 2016

Posted by: Tom Post Date: 17th November 2016

Many thanks to everyone who attended our 2016 graduation, as Babington’s apprentices took to the stage to receive their hard-earned qualifications.

It was a wonderful event in which our apprentices who have studied a huge range of qualifications, from Accounting to Warehousing, could celebrate their achievements with employers, friends, and family.

We were lucky enough to be joined by a number of guests, including Paralympian skier Anna Turney, who delivered a speech on her inspirational rise to the world championships and Paralympic games after suffering a horrific accident in which she never thought she would compete again.

We were also joined by employers from Experian, Deaf Alerter PLC, and Simply Business, who shed light on the positive influence that apprentices have brought to their businesses. Boots apprentice Rob Yates also spoke about his career journey, the team spirit of the apprentices at Boots, and how at the time of his first application he didn’t realise the apprenticeship would be ‘the best decision he’s ever made.’

Professional photography was supplied by Flashbash, who took individual shots of each graduate with their scroll and loved ones, which are available to view here. You can also check out some photos of the day, including all your fun photos taken in our photo booth, in our Facebook album here.

Every one of us at Babington wishes our newest graduates a happy and successful start to their career, whatever you choose to do next!
