On Friday the 4th of December, Babington’s level 3 and 4 apprentices took to the stage to finally receive their hard-earned qualifications needed to kick start their career.
Apprentices from a range of qualifications, including Accounting, Hairdressing, and Financial Services, gathered with friends, family, and tutors to celebrate their achievements.
We were lucky enough to be joined by Olympic swimmer Grant Turner, who awarded graduates with their certificates. Grant also shared an inspirational speech about the early stages of his swimming career, advising the graduates to maintain a perspective on the important things in life when searching for success.
There were other excellent speeches throughout the day, with Babington’s CEO Carole Carson expressing her pride in both Babington’s learners and staff. We also heard from Boots Level 4 graduate Sarah Staley, who gave us an insight into the apprentice team spirit, and the times that they helped each other through their qualifications.
Tom Brinkley, an employer at McKenzie Arnold security who works with apprentices and trainees at Donington Park racetrack, spoke about the amazing progress of his learners when faced with ‘the real world’. He also argued that our apprenticeship graduates had made the right choice in receiving a ‘head start’ in their careers with on the job experience.
After receiving their awards on stage, the graduates were given advice from Babington Chairman Frank Lord, who spoke about giving their all… and then some!
Professional photography was supplied from Flashbash, including individual shots of each graduate with their qualification. Should anyone wish to order photographs, they can do so by clicking here and selecting ‘view your photos’. Everybody at Babington wishes our graduates a happy and successful start to their careers, whatever their path may be!
