What will I be doing?
As the next step up in enhancing your sales abilities, the level 3 sales apprenticeship will see you taking on more responsibilities and gaining increased confidence in a sales environment.
With work-based learning and mentoring, the level 3 Sales apprenticeship is an ideal programme for sales staff that are looking to work in a supervisory or management role or those who wish to further develop their sales abilities in a variety of sectors. You will gain a detailed understanding of what every good salesperson needs to succeed in the industry and will learn some excellent ways to motivate your team.
This qualification and work-placed training will develop your knowledge in:
- Negotiating, handling objections, and closing sales
- Obtaining and analysing competitor information
- Developing and implementing sales call plans
- Launching new products and/or services
- Maintaining and reviewing personal networks.
What qualifications will I achieve?
On completion of this apprenticeship, you will achieve a level 3 NVQ Diploma in Sales, and a level 3 Certificate in the Principles of Sales. If required, you can also take level 2 Functional Skills in maths and English.
What are the entry requirements?
There are no formal requirements for this position. However because it is an advanced level apprenticeship, you should display at least a year of experience within sales, making the level 2 apprenticeship the ideal starting point.
What can I do afterwards?
This qualification is for learners who want to work in a variety of roles within the sales sector. These include Credit Manager, Customer Service Manager, IT Technical Sales Specialist, Retail Manager, Sales Manager, Store Owner/Manager, and Travel Agent.
I didn’t really want to go to college after finishing school, and an apprenticeship was best for myself to gain the skills and experience I need. Since I started the apprenticeship I’ve really picked up the ability to communicate well and make people hang on my words. Earning money is also a massive bonus!
