What will I be doing?
Sales is one of the most in-demand professional sectors in the UK, and there are many more roles where selling skills are an essential part of the job.
The level 2 Sales apprenticeship is designed for those who want to make the ideal start to their sales career or want to enhance their selling abilities, and you will gain confidence selling via inbound and outbound calls, or in person. Work-based learning is a great way to develop experience, and you will gain fundamental skills on the job with guidance from your colleagues and Babington’s tutors.
This apprenticeship will also develop your knowledge in:
- Generating and qualifying sales leads
- Buyer behaviour
- Communicating information and knowledge
- Meeting customers’ aftersales needs
- Time planning
- Accessing sales data in information systems
What qualifications will I achieve?
After completion of the apprenticeship, you will gain a level 2 NVQ Certificate in Sales, and if required, level 2 Functional Skills in maths and English.
Sales level 2 will give you a foundation of knowledge needed for you to get started in the role, which you can then enhance with the level 3 Sales apprenticeship.
What are the entry requirements?
There are no formal requirements nor prior experience needed in order to apply for this apprenticeship.
Whether you’re completely new to accounting or want to further develop your current knowledge, this is an excellent place to start.
What can I do afterwards?
This is a flexible qualification that can help you progress in a variety of sales roles and industries, including Contact Centre Operator, Customer Service Assistant, Retail Assistant, Sales Representative, Travel Agent and Vehicle Sales Executive.
I didn’t really want to go to college after finishing school, and an apprenticeship was best for myself to gain the skills and experience I need. Since I started the apprenticeship I’ve really picked up the ability to communicate well and make people hang on my words. Earning money is also a massive bonus!
