What will I be doing?
This qualification will provide an essential foundation of knowledge in lettings and property management, with active on the job training. You will typically work in a customer service or administration role at an estate agency, giving you the opportunity to learn the ins and outs of renting property alongside experienced property managers and negotiators.
Some of the tasks that are included in this qualification are:
- Progressing customer enquiries associated with property services
- Organising market appraisals of properties
- Preparing the marketing of properties to let
- Matching and promoting properties to individuals
- Organising and carrying out property viewings
- Dealing with inbound and outbound calls
What qualifications will I achieve?
You will achieve a level 2 City & Guilds Certificate in Property (Residential Letting and Management) and if required, level 2 Functional Skills in Mathematics and English.
The level 2 certificate in property management will give you a great foundation of knowledge, which you can then strengthen with the level 3 apprenticeship in Residential Letting and Management.
What are the entry requirements?
As with all apprenticeships, the only entry requirements are that you can demonstrate a basic ability with maths and English.
It is, of course, important that you are passionate about working in the industry and eager to do well.
What can I do afterwards?
This qualification will give you an essential foundation of knowledge in property services, which can then be expanded upon on the level 3 qualification.
These diplomas will enable you to work within a range of roles in the property sector, including estate agency negotiator positions, and positions in investment and property development.
This has been an amazing opportunity for me, which has given me the chance to gain hands on experience, and work towards a qualification in Residential Sales. I know that learning and understanding the business and industry inside out will open many doors for myself. I think being able to start a career at my age is a great achievement, which I’m very grateful for. Without the support of Babington and Connells, I feel that I wouldn’t have been where I am today.
