Are you a negotiator, with an eye for a sale and customer service skills? Then working in the property services industry could be your calling.
An apprenticeship in property services will enable you to learn from experienced professionals in the real estate industry, providing you with an in-depth knowledge of the property market. In a career as an estate agent, you will rely on your salesperson skills, your product knowledge, and your ability to market properties that are for sale and rent.
A good estate agent will wake up everyday and think to themselves: today I’m going to sell someone their dream home.
With the level 2 and 3 estate agent apprenticeships, you will build your skills and experience to sell, rent out, and market homes. This is a position that will test your negotiation expertise, where you will have to show great customer service skills to ensure both parties are satisfied.
Not only that, but you will be able to develop your skills with nationally recognised estate agencies, including Connells and Purplebricks. Despite being in training on the apprenticeship, you will get involved with a range of tasks, including marketing properties for sale or rent, assisting with incoming callers, and learning the ins and outs of the property services industry.
Moving to level 3 will see you take on more responsibilities with confidence, such as organising and carrying out property viewings, and monitoring changes in the property market and judging their impact.
As well as gaining a property services qualification, you will also work towards functional skills qualifications in maths and English if needed, supplied by Babington’s expert tutors.
These qualifications usually last 12 months, however, the length of time will depend on the course, the ability of the individual, and the employer’s requirements.
