What will this course cover?
This line management apprenticeship is ideal for those who have responsibility over the activities, output and performance of a team, or are getting started in a new role.
As the next step from an intermediate apprenticeship in management, candidates will be able to develop their management and leadership qualities through prestigious qualifications from the CMI.
You will also gain an in-depth understanding of what is expected of a manager, and will develop a portfolio of essential management skills such as these:
- Managing overall team performance
- Chairing and leading meetings
- Understanding the principles of people management
- Implementing change within a business
Learners maintain an activity portfolio alongside on-programme assessment. With the approval of the employer, learners will progress to End-Point Assessment where they will be required to:
- Undertake a 20 Minute Presentation with 30 Minute Q&A on a Topic set by EPA.
- Provide a portfolio of evidence.
- Undertake a 60 Minute professional discussion on the portfolio.
What qualifications will I achieve?
On the successful completion of your apprenticeship, you will achieve the Team Leader apprenticeship at Level 3 and Functional Skills in maths and English, if required.
What are the entry requirements?
Learners need to be working at a minimum of level 1 Maths and English and must be directly managing a minimum of 2 people.
What can I do afterwards?
On completion of the apprenticeship, learners may choose to use the CMI post-nominals if they continue membership with the CMI. Learners have the opportunity to continue to develop by progressing to the CMI Operations Manager Level 5 course.
