What will I be doing?
Take your first important steps to becoming a manager with this intermediate Team Leading apprenticeship. This qualification is ideal for those looking to enter management, or who have the opportunity to take charge of a team.
You will learn essential techniques to encourage teamwork, innovation and efficiency, and will gain thorough on the job experience of the role with the guidance of experienced professionals.
As part of your on-the-job training, you will get involved with different aspects of a team leader’s role, with responsibilities such as:
- Learning the principles of effective team leading
- Managing conflict within a team
- Learning how to effectively negotiate in a business environment
- Resolving customer service issues
- Collaborating with different departments and contributing to meetings
What qualifications will I achieve?
Successful completion of Team Leading Level 2 will see you awarded with a Level 2 NVQ in Team Leading. You will also have the opportunity to improve your Functional Skills in maths, English, and ICT.
What are the entry requirements?
As an intermediate level apprenticeship, Team Leading level 2 has no mandatory formal requirements to enrol.
However, it is essential that you have a strong interest in a career in management, and also possess a positive attitude and basic numeracy and literacy skills.
What can I do afterwards?
Team Leading Level 2 suits a variety of roles, and can result in you holding a number of job titles including Team Leader, Section Leader, Floor manager and Team Co-ordinator. This qualification is also suitable to aid you progression in a number of other roles.
