Introduction to the course
This level 3 apprenticeship programme is designed to equip participants with the knowledge and skills to develop as an Infrastructure Technician within a business, supporting productivity through the use of IT. This will enable growth and bring brand new technological skills to a workforce.
The learner will be supported by a mentor throughout their programme who will encourage development of their wider skills as well as developing their underpinning technical competencies within the workplace.
The learner will develop skills across five core areas relevant to the working knowledge required of an Infrastructure Technician which includes the following:
- Networking and Architecture
- Mobility and Devices
- Cloud Services
- Coding and Logic
- Business Process
The learner is assessed throughout the programme and is required to take knowledge module examinations for each of the units. Once all course units have been completed, the learner will progress to an End-Point Assessment.
Learners must achieve Level 2 English and Mathematics before completing the programme.

On completion of the apprenticeship, learners may apply for entry onto the register of IT Technicians. Learners may also have the opportunity to progress to a higher apprenticeship.
