As an apprentice in the financial services industry, you’ll be exposed to a real working environment where you will gain advice and guidance from experienced professionals.
This apprenticeship will give you a chance to practise essential skills needed to thrive in this industry, and will also strengthen your customer services abilities, your ability to form relationships with customers and clients, and your overall knowledge of the industry. The apprenticeship will also enable you to gain prestigious CII or CeMAP qualifications.
At Babington, we are the largest deliverer of CII qualifications in the UK, and our expert tutors will ensure you have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in a range of insurance roles, from Claims Handler to Risk Consultant. As well as gaining financial services qualifications, you can also work towards functional skills qualifications in maths and English if required.
These qualifications usually last 12 months, however, the length of time will depend on the course, the ability of the individual, and the employer’s requirements.
What is CII and CeMAP?
The CII (Chartered Insurance Institute) develop market-leading insurance and financial services study programmes with worldwide acclaim. Babington Group offer two separate pathways on this qualification: the CII in Financial Administration, and the CII in Insurance, Legal and Regulatory.
The CeMAP (Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice) qualifications from the London Institute of Banking and Finance are an essential starting point for those looking to give mortgage advice, where you will develop the in-depth knowledge you need to succeed in the role.
The apprenticeship will ensure you are work-ready, with the practical skills and knowledge needed to bring your career to the next level.
Doing the CII qualification will enable me to further my career and will broaden my job prospects for the future. My trainer is very supportive and makes me feel confident that I will succeed.
Aside from all the administrative skills I picked up, I really feel like this apprenticeship has got me out of my shell. Before, I was very shy. At times, I even had trouble getting out of the house and going to the shop. But this apprenticeship has boosted my confidence massively after speaking to so many people over the phone. I feel like I can talk to anybody.
I’ve certainly gained a lot of confidence through the CII qualification, as well as a wealth of background knowledge. I’ve learned more in depth about what the financial industry is all about through the apprenticeship, and have built more avenues and opportunities for myself going forwards.
