What will I be doing?

- Selling face to face and over the telephone
- Building effective and lasting relationships with clients

- Providing information and reliable customer service
What qualifications will I get?
Completing this apprenticeship will result in you attaining the following the Level 2 NVQ Certificate in Providing Financial Services, and also Functional Skills in maths (Level 1) and English (Level 2) if required.
You will also achieve a City & Guilds Level 2 Certificate in Customer Service, and one of the following, depending on your chosen career pathway:
- FA1 Certificate in Financial Administration (FA1)
- CII Certificate in Insurance (IF1)
- IFS Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice (CeMAP 1)
What are the entry requirements?
Financial Services Level 2 does not require any formal qualifications to enrol. However, it is essential that candidates are motivated, reliable and prepared to use their initiative.
What can I do afterwards?
The qualifications are designed for those who work or want to work within banks and building societies, customer service and insurance organisations where their role will involve providing financial services.
The level 2 can also be an ideal path to becoming an insurance broker or technician, as well as a mortgage advisor depending on the career pathway you choose. If you wish to further increase your knowledge and understanding, then you may want to complete the more advanced Financial Services Level 3.
Doing the CII qualification will enable me to further my career and will broaden my job prospects for the future. My trainer is very supportive and makes me feel confident that I will succeed.
Aside from all the administrative skills I picked up, I really feel like this apprenticeship has got me out of my shell. Before, I was very shy. At times, I even had trouble getting out of the house and going to the shop. But this apprenticeship has boosted my confidence massively after speaking to so many people over the phone including customers and insurers. I really feel like I can talk to anybody.
I’ve certainly gained a lot of confidence through the CII qualification, as well as a wealth of background knowledge. I’ve learned more in depth about what the financial industry is all about through the apprenticeship, and have built more avenues and opportunities for myself going forwards.
