What will I be doing?

Business Administration level 4 is a higher apprenticeship in which you can gain a mastery of your business administration skills. Higher apprenticeships are the best combination for you to gain on the job training and a higher level qualification to push your business expertise to the next level.

The apprenticeship includes up to date, flexible qualifications which meet the changing needs of both the individual and the employer. The higher apprenticeship will also give you the management skills needed to become successful in a supervisor or team leader role.

Some of the modules you will work on in this qualification include:

  • Managing events, information systems, budgets and professional development
  • Designing business processes and optimising the use of technology in the workplace
  • Analysing culture and ethics in a business
  • Encouraging team learning and development
  • Managing individual and team performance
  • Developing working relationships with stakeholders
  • Learning the principles of business strategic planning and development

There are also optional modules exploring the principles of customer service, e-business, marketing, project management, and finance.

What qualifications will I achieve?

You will achieve a level 4 Diploma in Business Administration and if required, level 2 Functional Skills in Mathematics, English, and ICT.

The qualification continues on from the knowledge you will have learned on the level 2 and 3 apprenticeships, giving you an in-depth experience of business administration, including supervisory responsibilities.

What are the entry requirements?

Since the level 4 is a natural progression from the level 3 apprenticeship, it is recommended that you first complete the level 2 and level 3 apprenticeships in business administration.

However, there are exceptions for those that can show at least 2 years’ worth of experience and knowledge in this field, but this depends on the choices of the employer.

What can I do afterwards?

After you have completed business administration level 4, you will have gained a range of vital skills that you can utilise to build and further your career.

Some administrative roles that you will be qualified for include Office Manager, Administration Team Leader and Business Development Executive.
