I found the apprenticship both challenging and rewarding. I thought learning whilst working full time was going to be difficult, but the support I received and patience from my tutor Helen was outstanding. She kept me positive and focused this helped me to work hard and achieve my goals. I’m so glad I did the employment related services as I’ve learnt so much and hopefully this will help me in my career path.
At school there was a big push for A level students to progress to university, but I felt that I was ready to step into the world of work. The apprenticeship programme was a fantastic opportunity to carry on studying whilst gaining valuable work experience.
The Babington approach offers the flexibility I need to be able to undertake further learning. My tutor is great. She’s on hand whenever I need her; setting me detailed action plans for guidance but lets me progress my apprenticeship at the pace my job allows.
This experience built my confidence in so many areas I was previously uncomfortable with. The expectations were made clear throughout the whole course and Babington’s advisors were very flexible if at any time targets could not be met. They were always helpful, welcoming and played a major role in keeping me on track and motivated.
