Introduction to the course
A Data Analyst will develop the knowledge and skills to be able to apply industry-standard tools and methods when interpreting and analysing data supporting effective information-based decision making.
This programme covers Processes and Tools for Data Analytics, Data Analysis, Structures and Visualisation, Big Data and Machine Learning.

- Data, Security and Legislation.
- Big Data and Cloud Infrastructure.
- Designing Databases using SQL and Analytical processes.

- Level 4 Data Analyst Apprenticeship.
- BCS Certificate in Data Analysis Concepts.
- BCS Certificate in Data Analysis Tools.
A minimum of 5 GCSEs in addition to 2 A-Levels or Level 3 equivalent. (Apprenticeship or BTEC in a relatable subject).
Learners will go through End-Point Assessment where their performance, knowledge and skills will be assessed against specified criteria. A portfolio of evidence, created by the Learner throughout their Apprenticeship will support their discussion at interview stage, conducted by the BCS (The Chartered Institute for IT). Functional Skills in both Maths and English will be sat whilst on programme if unable to be evidenced at programme enrolment.

Completion of the Apprenticeship enables learners to apply and become Level 3 SFIA recognised. Apprenticeship progression routes are also available to Learners with options such as the Level 6 Data Science Degree or Data Analyst pathway of the Digital and Technology Solutions Degree.
